In addition, the TN wind power project located in northeast Brazil has also commenced construction, with a total installed capacity of 180,000 kW. It is scheduled to be completed by June of 2023, with its annual power generation expected to hit 720 million kWh.

Completion of the LDB wind power expansion and the start of the TN wind power project demonstrate Chinese confidence and determination in contributing to and being a participant in Brazil’s green development, according to Yang Wanming, Chinese ambassador to Brazil.

“CGN will increase investment in clean energy across Brazil and construct more high-quality projects concerning renewable energy,” said Li Yilun, vice-general manager of CGN.

CGN Brazil Energy Holding Co., Ltd. was founded on June 24, 2019. It has six wind power and two solar power projects in operation, with a total installed capacity of nearly 1.29 million kW.
