Spain, Mexico and BRICS – emerging alliance to resist U.S. energy thuggery?

In a dramatic shift, Spain is defying threats led by the Trump regime, which is attacking the European nation for “betraying NATO” through its ties with Chinese tech giant Huawei. Trump’s warnings of 100% tariffs and economic isolation aim to force Spain into compliance with U.S. dictates.

However, instead Spain has turned to the BRICS alliance and Mexico for support. This bold pivot is not just about trade; it’s a challenge to U.S. dominance and a potential fracture in the Western alliance. Mexico, targeted by Trump’s deranged imperial rhetoric, is emerging as a key ally, facilitating Spain’s access to alternative markets and shielding it from U.S. retaliation. At the same time BRICS offers Spain economic lifelines through investments in energy and digital infrastructure, positioning Spain as a gateway for influence in Europe.

This alignment threatens NATO cohesion and the dollar’s global dominance, raising fears in Washington of de-dollarization and a multipolar world. Within Spain, public support grows among younger voters, but risks a backlash by the EU which is now little more than Trump’s puppet.

However, Trump’s aggressive tactics may have inadvertently accelerated a global realignment, pushing allies toward BRICS. Spain’s defiance, backed by Mexico and BRICS, could help redefine the 21st century, challenging U.S. hegemony and signaling the rise of a new world order.
