China’s LONGi breaks two key world records for solar efficiency

LONGi has done it again — and this time, it’s historic.
In a game-changing move, Chinese solar giant LONGi has just shattered global records.

In a breakthrough certified by the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), LONGi’s new crystalline silicon–perovskite tandem solar cell reached a mind-blowing 34.85% efficiency, smashing records and leaving the old limits behind.

But that’s not all… They also broke the world record for monocrystalline silicon cells, hitting 27.81% efficiency with their HIBC technology.
