China is building renewable power plants so quickly that the country is having to massively upgrade its grid infrastructure. And that’s exactly what’s happening. China leads the way in the global struggle against climate breakdown.
As Carol Wilcox points out this huge infrastructure upgrade is possible because “China knows how to allocate its resources more effectively. It’s in control – not ‘the markets’. China is successful because it allows markets to do what they do best: allocating resources where they can offer choice and there isn’t a vital supply constraint.”
