China’s NEV battery-maker CATL has launched new battery products for heavy-duty electric trucks.
The new lineup includes super-fast charging, long-range, and long-life versions, and a durable edition for construction machinery.
The supercharging version can replenish 70% of its energy in just 15 minutes, offering a single-charge range of up to 500 km.
Heavy-duty trucks remain a category with a relatively low adoption rate for new energy technologies. They account for a substantial share of global carbon emissions in the transport sector, so electrification of this segment is crucial.
